I’m the first to admit my Hispanicize hangover lasted for a while–and for all the good reasons: the memories, the amazing and inspiring professionals I met, the informative sessions and of course, Miami’s perfect 10 weather. Almost three weeks later I’m still reminiscing about running from conference room to conference room and learning how to brush up on my social media skills, marketing, branding and vlogging skills.
One of my favorite memories was the private acoustic set and Q&A by Mexican-American Sofia Reyes that took place at Haven Lounge along with delicious drinks and bites, sponsored by Cricket Wireless and ZTE. These were some of the digital influencers I got to meet in the shuttle on our way there:

Sofia totally blew us away with her maturity during the Q&A with Yarel Ramos from Mun2 (NBC Universo). Her passion for music, velvety-smooth voice and skills on the guitar and piano are far beyond her years.
Here’s why you have to hear her now!
1) As an 8 year old child she asked for instruments and music lessons. So—while all I wanted was Barbies at her age, she was practicing to be a pop-star——point taken.
2) Her new hit song is so “pegajosa” (catchy) collaboration with Wisin that you’ll want to dance your shoes off next time at the club (and the video is hot!).
3) She’s a Spanglish cross-over diva singing in perfect English, smooth Spanish and Spanglish (which is how bilingual Latinos really talk!).
4) She started writing songs with her dad who she thinks is one of the coolest people ever. How many times do you hear a young teen say their dad is the coolest? I love that a pop diva can still be a daddy’s girl.
5) She’s only 19!
The night couldn’t end without Sofia dancing el “Cricketeo”, “El Baile del Texteo!”
Sofia played a song we were not allowed to record! I can’t wait for it to come out so I can download it!
