A couple of weeks ago I partnered up with one of my favorite foodie and cocktail bloggers and someone you should definitely follow if you aren’t yet–fellow Latina Vianney from Sweet Life Bake! After telling her my sob story (not really) about how I am missing my usual cocktails because of my pregnancy, she came up with some delicious alternatives based on some of my favorite drinks.
This particular mocktail that Vianney whipped up is one I’m extremely excited about! I’m a huge fan of making sangria at home ever since we got engaged in Barcelona with my hubby—it brings us back to that special moment and the magical city. But, I’ve been sangria-less ever since last year & I didn’t expect this recipe to knock my socks off (especially because it doesn’t have wine!). Though it’s a lighter shade than the sangria you are used to drinking, it’s flavorful and complex thanks to all the fresh fruit & the rich cinammon simple syrup in this Spanish-concoction.
The cinnamon simple syrup gives a bold, rich flavor to your sangria sans the alcohol! SALUD to that!
Taste testing with Vianney is always the funnest part! I am officially dubbing her my “fairy cocktail godmother”!
