Ever since I attended Hispanicize earlier this year in Miami I came back empowered and with the realization of my influence as a blogger and content creator. Besides connecting with a slew of amazing, talented fellow bloggers and content creators I met celebrities like William Levy and Miss USA and the successful YouTuber I most admire: Dulce Candy (who I also interviewed). In brief, my investment in time and money at this conference was well worth it.
So, when Hispanicize founder, Manny Ruiz (aka @papiblogger), informed the Houston influencer community through social media he was road-tripping to H-Town and organizing the first meet-up of it’s kind, it was a no-brainer; we had to be there! Manny is one part of the power couple composed of Angela Sustaita-Ruiz, the co-founder and partner of DiMe Media (formerly Latina Mom Bloggers), a leading, national network of U.S. Hispanic digital influencers on YouTube, Instagram, Vine and Facebook.
Manny Ruiz takes time to thank the event sponsors State Farm (who raffled a gift card for $300 and $100), TeQava (a super tasty bubbly, Tequila cocktail) for providing the yummy drinks and (Hispanic owned business) Eastdown Warehouse for providing the networking space. (That’s his daughter and future Latina powerhouse cuddling up to him!).

This visit from the founder was mostly exciting because I heard Hispanicize will have its own local chapter so if that’s the case I can’t wait for that to happen so monthly meetings and influencer-driven events can start happening for the Hispanic community. #PowerInUnity
