Earlier this month, Sheela Goh, fellow blogger and Korean beauty/skincare maven (follow her on Snapchat so you know what I mean) approached me for a fashion challenge & global blogger link-up where I would have to incorporate 4 colors or prints into my outfit. I was up for it because I’m all about #LivingLifeinColor and connecting with women in the blogosphere. If there’s one thing this post proves is that no matter your age or location your sense of style can be always have a touch of whimsy, color & fun! Be sure to check out the amazing blogs of these wordly fashionistas as well!
I acquired this perfectly-fitting dress from CeCe earlier in the month when my stylist friend bought it for me and I fell in love with it (and the brand which is perfect for petite curvy women like me). I have shamelessly used it for many holiday parties too because it gives me room for breathing after eating! Houston has been H-O-T up until two days ago so I’ve been managing to wear dresses and skirts sans tights while donning my fun & furry pumps custom created by local stylist Dawn Bell from Coronation Vintage. My cape coat is my pride and joy purchase of the month! Proves that you can wear some color when it’s chilly and now that’s it’s finally 50 degrees in Houston I don’t plan to take it off.
“This photo is so not fair!” is the first thing I thought hen I saw this. We ‘re burning up in Houston one minute and then experiencing low 50’s & rain so Ann of Kremb de la Kremb is the epitome of winter chic in this photograph! I can’t help but feel a tidbit jealous of the #WinterWonderland backdrop and of everything she can layer on and still look chic.
Liyana of Affordorable made this color challenge her own with her subtle prints, details & pops of color like her Mousse sling back and polka-dotted Stan Smith sneaks which are now on my wish-list.
Sheela lives in Houston, Texas
Sheela of SheelaGoh.com combined Fall/Winter hues and even played with polka dots & plaid (maybe my next challenge?). I’m coveting her suede burgundy-colored boots from Shoedazzle & her Anastasia Beverly Hills lipstick in shade ‘Veronica.’ Sheela is always wearing a fab shade of lipstick (and hair)!
The rule that leopard is a neutral prevails when I see Anna of Anna’s Island Style combining red tights with these cute kitten heels. But most of all I’m digging how effortless she’s making this look!
By the looks of her blog Fake Fabulous, Samantha is no stranger to color and she wears them so well with her trendy, fiery pixie cut. I think a great takeaway from her outfit is that pairing bright colors with silver moccasins gives you a polished, trendy look. OMG and her purse! #PomPomObsessed.
A big shout-out to Sheela for inviting me to participate in this global blogger link up!
Have you ever worn more than 4 colors or patterns in an outfit?
