The recent purchase of a Cover Girl eyeshadow quad in pretty pinks inspired me to create this easy, fresh summer look.
The key to lasting make-up in this hot, humid Houston weather? A pro-make-up artist recently told me that the preparation of your skin before applying make-up works better than slathering your face with a primer. Ever since, I’ve been following a lot of steps before applying any foundation or eyeshadow on my face!
And remember, if you follow a great skincare regimen and your face/neck/chest area is well-taken care of, your make-up will look radiant.
This is what I used to create my look:
Prepping Your Skin: Apply a serum first and wait 5 minutes before applying the face cream. After applying face cream wait 5 minutes and then apply foundation. (Products c/o Clarins)
Framing Your Face: Always fill in your brows. I’m using It Cosmetics Build A Brow which helps my eyebrows grow. (Products c/o It Cosmetics)
Pro Tip: Apply eyeshadow primer on lids before applying eyeshadow.
1. Use the two middle colors on this palette and apply the pink all over the lid. 2. Apply the darker shade in the crease with a fluffy brush. 3. Line your eyes with a waterproof liner. 4. Finish with mascara.
It’s all in the eyes: The colors are easy to blend in this Cover Girl quad in color 720 Blushing Blossoms.
Contour: Using a bronzer and this fabulous contour brush, apply it in the hollows of cheeks while making a fish face.
Hydrate & Tint Lips: I loooooove how this glossy, transparent lipstick revives my lips and stains them the perfect pink tint.
