I recently came back from Long Beach, California after having the time of my life at the best blogging conference I’ve ever been to: We All Grow Summit by Latina Bloggers Connect. Besides the workshops and priceless networking I made, many attendees, including myself, went to field trips which were amazing treats from the title sponsors. The field trips gave us time to mingle with the other bloggers and content creators from around the country and connect with brands. I was lucky to score a field trip properly named “Eyes on L.A. Style” with Transitions Lenses to Smudge photo studio in downtown L.A. where we had an intimate Q&A with eye-wear designers Coco and Breezy. These talented designer-duo styled us for a mini blog shoot of our own, complete with make-up touch-ups while modeling shades courtesy of Transitions Lenses and Visionworks. Here’s a photo recap of everything the went down that day!
Yay! I made it from LAX to Smudge Photo Studio. I was so scared of driving in L.A. (Houston drivers have road-rage so I’m a bit traumatized! LOL) but it was a Zen experience and I felt so safe in the Mazda6i. Driving this car was only one of the reasons I was so excited to arrive to LAX.
Coco and Breezy were incredibly inspirational. Hearing them speak motivated me to chase my dream with more boldness.
Transition Lenses and Visionworks let us in on Latino eye-health and why it’s so important to wear sun protection. So, shield your eyes ladies, even when the day is cloudy, sunglasses are key.

Cheers! I’m so mad at myself for not having a selfie with these fashion/beauty blogger ladies. They were so sweet and the margaritas were one of the best I’ve ever tried.
Getting my make-up touched up. Really surreal and relaxing experience.
Selfie for the win. Make-up touch-ups did wonders after munching on some Mexican food for lunch.
Coco and Breezy, the epitome of cool! Thank you so much for spending some quality time with us and I can’t wait to see how our mini-shoots turn out. As soon as we get the photos, I’ll be updating this post.
Thank you Visionworks & Transitions Lenses (shout-out to Tina for helping me pick frames for my photo-shoot) for a fabulous day of knowledge, fashion and great company.
Thank you Driveshop for hooking me up with this Mazda 6i! Thanks to this car I was able to make it from LAX to Smudge Photo Studio and then to The Hotel Maya in Long Beach. It was a long day of driving, including in L.A. rush hour so having this comfy and sexy car made a difference. Missing this fiery, red ride!
Check out the playlist I was listening on my way to Long Beach to created by Pili Montilla, host of Emmy-Award winning show and WAG sponsor Te Para Tres.
So happy when I finally arrived to this Latin-chic location! You have to visit The Hotel Maya in Long Beach if you’re ever here. Plus, they have the most amazing warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival.
