Last week on Tuesday I was on Fox26 sharing easy and chic hairstyles that you can create in 30 seconds. I promise there are no skills or fancy heat tools required to achieve the looks below. These will get you out the door quickly whether you’re headed to class or dropping off your kids at school. See how some of my favorite celebrities sport them and be inspired to try them out at home!
Beautiful Bedhead (Works best on wavy or curly hair)
Product Used: Design Essentials Coconut and Monoi Oil Coconut Water Curl Refresher
Available at: CVS, Walmart, Sally Beauty Supply
What is does: Provides hydration, curl control and repairs damaged, dry hair. Can be used on wet or dry hair.
- Twist small sections of your hair and spray each section.
- Scrunch hair between your fingers.
- Let air-dry.
Half Up Top Knot (My current favorite)
Product Used: Marc Anthony Clear Dry Shampoo
Available at: Ulta, Walgreens and CVS
What is does: Creates volume, texture and absorbs oil. Refreshes your hairstyle and sprays on clear with no chalky residue.
- Add dry shampoo to your hair to create texture. (Hey, I even use dry shampoo when my hair is clean because it adds volume!)
- Section off the top of your head (I would tease close to the bottom half a bit if you have straight hair) and twist into a loose bun. Don’t worry about making it look perfect.
- Secure hair with bobby pins.
Slick Pony (The easiest of the bunch)
Product Used: Living Proof Control Hairspray
Available at: Ulta and Sephora
What is does: Protects against Houston’s humidity and provides shine and control
- Brush hair back and up to the crown of your head.
- Secure hair at the top of your head with an elastic or ponytail.
- Polish the pony tail look by spraying a control and shine hairspray. Tip: Spray some of the product on your hands, and and use your hands to tame baby hairs and frizzies.
Rapid Blow Out
Product Used: L’Oreal Quick Dry Primer Spray
Available at: CVS, Walgreens, Walmart
What is does: Cuts your dry time in half and heat protects your strands
- Start with clean, towel-dried hair.
- Position bottle 6-8 inches away from hair and spray away (careful, this product smells so good but don’t overdo it!)
- Blow dry as normal using your fingers.
