Lipstick and Brunch

I’ve been wanting to celebrate the the new name and design of my blog and then suddenly my birthday was coming up and the mesh of these two celebrations seemed perfect: A #BrunchLaunch for my Lipstick and Brunch blog and a birthday cake to celebrate my milestone 30 years of being young.

It was a very intimate party, with just eight of us and I decided to plan everything around the idea of a party I would want to attend. The initial color palette inspiration of gold, white, black, and hot pink coming from my only and only favorite: Kate Spade (my dress is from Kate Spade!).

First things first if you’re inviting social media addicts: I had all the Wi-Fi information and hash tags on the brunch table on a cute little chalkboard. I also had cute little swag bags and giveaways. There were also 2 official hash tags for the party: #BrunchLaunch and #LipstickandBrunch.

But, the biggest hit of the party had to be the photo booth I set up. As a professional photographer I had the strobe lights and background available (and luckily props from past Halloweens) so I set up the studio in my living room. All I can say is every time I look at those pictures I laugh so hard! I included some of my favorites in this post. We enjoyed it too much!

My guests were right on time (I was not! Oops!). Nevertheless, we had tons of fun, ate yummy food (thanks to my hubby again for making the arepas) and posed for the photo-booth for most of the party.
