OTS Top & Heart Accessories

Nicole | September 5, 2016

Happy Labor Day Weekend and last day of summer (boo hoo)! I hope you’re enjoying some extra time with your loved ones or off tanning at the beach (in which case, I am so jealous!). Long weekends are always nice because my hubby  stayed home with me today which means we binged on Netflix last night (on NARCOS to be specific) and had breakfast like 5 minutes ago.

Summer went by so quickly or maybe it felt that way because I was on a plane most of the time. Besides sharing one of my last summer outfits on the blog today and where I score most of my fun accessories, I’m also sharing some links so you can start this month giving back! Some of my Houston blogger buddies are up to great things and supporting amazing causes so I included those below as well as some other links I might have forgotten to mention before!

It's the last day of summer in Texas but I'm still obsessed with off-the shoukder tops. My favorite jeans from Target and this off the shoukder top make up my end of summer uniform.

Fun accessories always elevate an outfit. My Melisa Shoes by Vivienne Westwood were found at The Cottage Shop. One of my favorite outfits to date! An off the shoulder top and cuffed denim are always a Do in my fashion book.

Always wear a loose fitting off the shoulder top with skinny denim. Sporting a big trend: the 90's choker. Love how it looks with the off the shouklder top.

Jelly shoes are a girl's best friend. These are Vivienne Westwood for Melisa Shoes and are my most prized possesion found at The Cottage Shop.

You can't go wrong with skinny dark wash denim and an off the shoulder top.

90's chokers are the new retro trend that everyone is sporting.

{I shot this outfit with Meredith from This Lavender Life! It was my first time shooting with her and props to her for capturing me in my best light. She has a great eye and can’t wait to share all the other outfits we shot. Oh, and can we all agree that even though summer is over, we’re still obsessed with off-the shoulder tops?}

  1. I promised to share some of my favorite place to score affordable and accessories because y’all are asking me where I buy my  fun bags, shoes and jewellery. Here they are: The Cottage Shop, Crossroads, Vida Antigua Vintage, and I never miss the Pop Shop Houston for the best in vintage and thrifted accessories.
  2. Enter my contest to win 2 tickets to Cottonfest 2016 with The Bachelorette alum & country crooner James McCoy Taylor. Purchase tickets at www.cottonranchevents.com or enter the contest here.
  3. Donate to a cause dear and near to my heart (I have Diabetes since the age of 5) that my friend Roselyn from The Style Lynn Life is fighting against: Diabetes. Check out her blog post.
  4. Support Jillian’s (aka Cup of Charisma) Give Back Birthday to fight against domestic violence and wish her a happy birthday. Donate here.
  5. Check out The Loop Lyfe’s ethically savvy fashion purchase here and make your way there to do your own shopping!
  6. What way to start fashion month! Last week, Flair Magazine published a 9 page spread on the Houston Bloggers that participated in the Market Street Blogger Crawl. Check it out!

Hope you’re enjoying your Monday and I can’t wait to post my transitional fall outfit that I shot with Meredith last week as well as a handy guide to New York Fashion Week (from a Houston local and veteran) for all the clueless chicas out there like me who still have to make their way to a show!
