When this cute little Phylrtbox arrived to my mailbox I couldn’t wait to open it! I’m an avid perfume collector and love discovering new scents which is the main mission of the PhylrtBox subscription box. There is no personality test or quiz on what you wear most or would like to try like in other beauty box subscription services. PhlyrtBox wants to encourage any subscribers to try out new made in the USA craft perfumes and fall in love with their discoveries. Having said that, you must have a very adventurous and curious nose to love this subscription service!
How Does It Work?
Every month you’ll receive four fragrances and try them out for $18.95. Pick whichever scent you like and find the link to purchase the full-size the perfume on www.phylrtbox.com. The perk? You get a discount, which varies from vendor to vendor, on the full size bottle of the perfume you loved. You’ll be purchasing directly form the perfumer’s website (with that special discount code) and whatever you buy will be delivered right to your home. Subscriptions are available at a month to month basis, 6 months or even a year.
The full-size bottles of perfumes in my box varied in prices from $30-$70 which is pretty good considering it’s a unique fragrance and you’ll be able to use a discount on your purchase. Also, think of how nobody else will smell like you!
This was one of my favorite scents. I go for sweet, vanilla scents and this one fit the bill. It was just a tid-bit musky but I would probably layer this with another fragrance and tone down the muskiness. 
This was by far the most surprising scent of the bunch. It smelled like a just-baked apple pie. It was fruity and fresh; perfect for summer. 
This perfume was a bit too strong for me. I would say it was borderline masculine. Interesting but not for me.
This one was also a very peculiar scent. It smells clean but too strong for me as well.
What I Think About PhlyrtBox
I love the whole idea of supporting local craft perfumers and discovering new scents. Each scent came with two samples so it gave me enough perfume to try out multiple times. I wish they had been little spray bottles so they are easier to apply on the go. The samples I liked from this box are still be making it into my purse though! The subscription price is a bit higher than other beauty boxes but you’re getting to try scents that you would never know of otherwise and that you can’t get at a department store.
