This past Sunday a bunch of bloggers gathered at Sugar and Cloth’s studio to hear owner, Ashley Rose, talk about how she has achieved success with her blog “Sugar and Cloth” for The Blogger Union’s first meet-up. I volunteered to photograph the event and wore my comfiest denim dress which I course styled accordingly with summery pastels and pinks.
The Blogger Union could be called a blogger organization franchise that is now in Houston (but is also in Fort Lauderdale, Washington D.C., Miami and Greenville) and is being run by the lovely Jillian of Cup of Charisma in Houston. My duty that day was to snap photos of the event (which will be out this week!) and before heading there I made a pit stop at the Sugar and Cloth colorwall. Can we talk about my make-up? me, the girl who loves bright lipstick is going crazy over nude lipsticks and I also am on my second bottle of the best foundation ever.
What is the easiest way to spruce up a denim or neutral toned summer dress? Statement accessories! I consider myself an accessory queen and sometimes I don’t spend much on a dress but splurge on cool accessories to make my outfit fun, bold and bright. Never underestimate the power cool accessories can bring to your outfit.
