Favorite Fall Berries

It’s that time of the year when I reluctantly put away all my neon pink lipsticks and coral tinted lip balms and get out the deep, rich berry hues for fall. I am an avid lipstick lover (hence the name of my blog!) and I think lipstick can brighten up your whole face with just one swipe. Lipstick is the lazy girls makeup and it’s all you need for a date, a night out with girls or a special work presentation and it doesn’t take a lot of skill to wear like a “cat eye” (which we will discuss in a future post).

Lipstick to me is confidence, boldness, approachability—because why else would you wear such a bold lip color if you didn’t want to be approached?

Here, my favorite lip colors for fall:

urbandecayredThe Super Saturated lipsticks by Urban Decay are easy to use and uber-shiny. This one is one of my trusty reds (with a blue undertone to make your pearly whites more white!) in the color F-Bomb. How I Would Describe the Color: A shiny bright red with a blue undertone. Not for shy people.moxie2This lipstick is one of my most proud discoveries: The BareMinerals Moxie is a smooth, pigmented lipstick with a minty smell. Yum! The name of the color says it all: Risk it All. How I Would Describe the Color: A pigmented raspberry-fuchsia hue that will make people do a double-take on your lips!

covergirlI am using the glossy Cover Girl Lip Perfection in Berry Twist. Similar to the Clinique Chubby Sticks but at a drugstore price. Keeps my lips soft and smooth because it goes on like a balm with a punch of color. I always like to use a lip brush to smooth the edges of my lips and prevent feathering. How I Would Describe the Color: A sheer light grape-y tone that you can build up swipe by swipe.

blackcherrybutterFor this Iook I used the Butter London Lippy Tinted Balm in Black Cherry. This one is a matte rich texture and you can find it at Ulta. How I Would Describe the Color: A very deep cherry-purple-red that is very rich in texture.
