A week ago I hosted a Farah Nazar Jewelry trunk show at Macaron by Patisse (best macaron place ever, hands down. Yes, it’s better than Laduree in Paris). On a whim, Farah, who lives in the island of Roatan in Honduras and happens to be a college friend of mine, decided to bring her new, colorful designs to Houston and set up a cute pop up shop inside the River Oaks macaron shop. Farah Nazar Jewelry was born 12 years ago when Farah started designing statement earrings with pearls, colorful gemstones and Mayan details in every piece. Continue Reading
This is the first time that my hair has ever blown up to look like a lion mane ( like in those Garnier commercials, remember that?). And even then, this straight-haired girl didn’t appreciate all the volume. That’s because frizz, something I had never experienced until I moved to Houston, happened to my hair in a really bad way. Read below to see how I gave my strands a quick pick me up and how I’m maintaining it healthy to keep the frizz away.
Oh my God guys! I have been dying to tell you about this event ever since we started talking about it with the Neiman Marcus beauty team. I am honored to share that Lipstick and Brunch is partnering with Neiman Marcus’ “Camp Gorgeous” beauty event at their Galleria store this month! Continue Reading

My favorite thing to do when I get up in the morning is to hop in the shower and indulge in all the beauty products I’ve collected. My husband laughs at me every time I justify my beauty purchases for the shower because he has one shampoo and one bar of soap and I have a bath product for every mood. Lucky for me, Caress gave me an excuse to try out their body wash with Fragrance Touch Technology. Continue Reading
It’s true my friends. I spent my holiday weekend in Houston while beautiful, turquoise colored beaches invaded my Facebook feed of all of you in Mexico, specifically in Cabo San Lucas. Partying it up, margarita in hand while I turned a bit green with envy and a bit motivated to make myself have fun this holiday & not stay indoors blogging, working, organizing like I should have etc. I forced myself to have a true “staycation.”
A couple of weeks ago Simon Malls invited an exclusive group of Houston influencers to the beautiful Station 3 venue for dinner, mingling and a magical fashion presentation from The Webster @thewebster, La Perla @laperlalingerie, Erdem @erdemlondon and Gucci Beauty @gucci at Saks Fifth Avenue @saks.
I wanted to share a beautiful photo album with you of the very special evening!
A huge thank you to Simon Malls for the invitation!

I can’t believe it’s Sunday night and the week starts again tomorrow! So here’s why I wrote this post: my hubby works a 9-5 and I work from home which basically means I work until he gets home and whatever time is left after our work day, we love to spend it together. Continue Reading
This past Sunday a bunch of bloggers gathered at Sugar and Cloth’s studio to hear owner, Ashley Rose, talk about how she has achieved success with her blog “Sugar and Cloth” for The Blogger Union’s first meet-up. The Blogger Union could be called a blogger organization franchise that is now in Houston (but is also in Fort Lauderdale, Washington D.C., Miami and Greenville) and is being run by the lovely Jillian of Cup of Charisma in Houston. My duty that day was to snap photos of the event (which will be out this week!) and before heading there I made a pit stop at the Sugar and Cloth colorwall. This outfit is comfort and cuteness all rolled up in one! Continue Reading
